3D printing features visible:
Layered print textureThe subtle horizontal striations across the surface are the signature layer lines of FDM 3D printing. Each layer is extruded sequentially by the printer nozzle, building the complex curved geometry from digital CAD data without manual cutting. Traditional wood carving struggles to replicate these smooth, consistent compound curves on the pump’s central dome and flanged pipe ends.
Integrated one-piece structureThe entire pattern—main housing, two side flange ends, top boss, mounting base plate—is printed as one unified component. Traditional mould making would split this into multiple separate wooden segments, then assemble, align and seal them, introducing gaps and dimensional errors. 3D printing eliminates assembly tolerance drift entirely.
Complex geometric features printed effortlesslyThe concentric circular boss on the central dome, undercut transition curves and thickened structural ribs are all generated directly from a digital model. There’s no need for custom tooling or time-consuming hand sculpting to recreate these industrial mechanical shapes. Small positioning holes on the base are also printed in place for quick fixture alignment in the foundry.
Large-format printing capabilityThis is not a desktop hobby printer output. The sheer size of the pump mould requires an industrial-grade large-scale 3D printer with a massive build volume, designed specifically for foundry patterns, construction formwork and heavy equipment moulds.

3D printer According your file to use Nozzle 2mm 6 mm 10mm if you want to make high precision better use 2mm nozzle but need print long time .our printer have camera which can remote control your machine wherever your machine .and use our orcaslicer software to make slice then show prit time and how much material PP using .
Large-format FGF pellet 3D printers break the size limit of ordinary filament 3D printing. With low-cost pellet raw materials, free complex design and fast automated production, they have replaced traditional wood mould carving across dozens of industries. Below are their most mature and high-value application scenarios.
This is the most widely used field for our FGF printers, matching the pump housing mould case we showed before.
